New tool supports participatory investing

Last March, our friends at Common Future launched a 12-month initiative called the Action Lab: Participatory Investing — a partnership with the World Educations Services: Mariam Assefa Fund. Shift was so excited to advise on this project to bring a community-rooted lens to an investment fund, as well as to help source investments from our network. We are thrilled to share a toolkit Common Future created from the learnings and practices developed during this initiative! Shift continues to test participatory funding, including shifting investment capital into community control, for philanthropic, healthcare and other sectors that drive health outcomes.
